You Know You're From San Antonio When...

You lost your virginity at mission drive-in

You know exactly how to get to the "Ghost Tracks" from anywhere in town.

You think "pro-choice" means flour or corn tortillas.

You've never been to the Alamo.

You think a health drink is a Margarita without salt.

You think being able to read the Taco Cabana menu makes you bilingual.

You used to live in a neighborhood you wouldn't even drive through now.

There has been a road crew on your street since before the Alamodome was built.

You remember when Crossroads Mall used to be called Wonderland.

You've been to Midget Mansion.

You know all about the "Dancing Diablo" and the "Donkey Lady" bridge.

You know that Wheatley and Brackenridge is the same school.

You remember the Captain Gus show.

Your subwoofer has twice the value of your car.

You have three rodeo outfits but never have been on a horse

You're an expert with the brake pedal, but you have no idea what a blinker is.

Your idea of culture is wearing a Hard Rock T-shirt.

You think the last supper was at Mi Tierra restaurant.

You do your grocery shopping at a flea market.

You think local politicians are crooks, but you still do not vote.

You have a "Selena Lives" bumper sticker on your car.

You care if San Antonio is in the "national spotlight".

A formal occasion is getting a glass with your longneck.

You believe Tacos, barbecue, tequilla, and beer are the four basic food groups.

You rented Pulp Fiction to escape the everyday violence of the city.

You think wearing bows in your hair will get you a husband.

Your White mother learned how to make Tamales & Menudo from your neighbors.

You know the "real" definition of FIESTA is "stay home if at all possible".

You have ordered Mexican food at a Chinese restaurant.

You had breakfast tacos at Taco Cabana on Christmas morning.

You remember the Joske's Christmas display.

Wow! What a week it has been. No luck with the job search yet, however, I have put myself out there with lots of places so hopefully I will get a call soon for an interview.

All this week Long and I have been playing Age of Empires for spans of at least five hours everyday ever since last Sunday night. I have yet to succeed in beating him. DAMN HIS STUPID PERSIAN ELEPHANTS!!!! Yeah, the game is so great, I can't stop playing it. It would be real awsome if I played with more people. One of these days everyone will like to play with us, right?

Anyways, yeah, life is pretty much boring. Nothing has really happened to me lately. Till next time...

A NEW YEAR...2005!!

What? The New Year has arrived? It doesn't really seem like a new year. I guess it's because I haven't really done anything to highlight the moment. Well, it's here and I can't stop it from not being here...time to move on.

I haven't actually done anything the past few days. Just been lounging around the apartment. I should be out there applying for a job cause I am offically broke and I don't know what I am going to do with my finances. I thought I would have enough money to last me two months, but, I have noticed all my funds has disappeared. I really am bad at estimating. Hopefully I can find a job sometime within the next couple of weeks, but, I am shooting for the next couple of days since I need some kind of income coming in. If it comes down to working at McDonald's I will take it. Right now, I am telling myself I can do it.

Anyway, ringing in the New Year was really nice. I didn't have to spend it by myself like I did the last two years. It was nice to spend it with my closest friends, to bad Melissa wasn't here to spend it with me too. I wish I got to go to California. By the way, the Texas Longhorns won the Rose Bowl, for those of you who didn't know, or who doesn't care. If I was still working at Longhorns LTD, that would of been another month of stress for me. I am glad I am away from that, looking back at it, I wished I didn't quit, (reason, second paragraph).

Hopefully this year is going to be a good year for me. After thinking about it, 2004 wasn't that great of a year. Lots has happened during that year, however, that year wasn't that great. Their are a lot of things I want to do better or try something new for this year. My top New Year's Resolutions are:

1) Take better records of my finances. Again, I have no idea where all of my money is going. Everyone, asks me where my money is going, and I can't really give a clear answer about it because I don't even know myself.

2) Record and watch what I eat and exercise regularly. Yes, you're a little to thick! Well, I do notice it and I need to change that since my appearance is kinda sloppy looking.

3) Stop thinking about Mary, the ex-girlfriend I am so obsessed with. She is blocking my focus on meeting someone new. I do need to find someone. I really do miss being with someone. I needs to start dating again.

4) Updating this blog. YES! I need to prove to myself and others, that I can do this. Hopefully this will be something I can do regularly.

With only 361 more days left until the year 2006. Let's cross our fingers to hope this year would be a good one and my New Years Resolutions last throughout the year.
